CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC HUNTING SAFARI

Incomparable big game hunting country, the Central African Republic owes its present reputation to the mythical Lord Derby Eland.

Club Faune hunting areas in C.A.R. are near the Bamingui region which are formed by a series of plains and plateaus covered by a bushy savannah interspersed by wooded galleries, home to the Bongo, Giant Forest Hog and Sitatunga. A C.A.R. hunt is essentially devoted to tracking Lord Derby Eland, Lion, Roan Antelope, Buffalo (Central African Savannah Buffalo) and several types of savannah antelopes. In addition and also from the same camps, some forest game such as Bongo, Giant Forest Hog, Red River Hog, Yellow Backed Duiker, Blue Duiker and Sitatunga can be hunt ed in the Central African Republic. It is also possible to hunt the Western Greater Kudu and Korrigums (Giant Topi) in the Northern part of Club Faune's areas. Superior accommodation is provided in very comfortable bungalows. Central African Republic hunting season starts at the beginning of January and closes at the end of May.

Central African Republic Hunting Safaris:
- 7 day safari quota per hunter: 2 Buffalos, 1 Yellow Backed Duiker, 1 Blue Duiker, 1 Red Flanked Duiker, 1 Western Bush Duiker, 1 Red River Hog and 1 Warthog.
- 13 day safari quota per hunter: each hunter additionally selects one animal from the following list: Lord Derby Eland, Western Greater Kudu, Bongo, Giant Forest Hog or Sitatunga.
- 20 day safari quota per hunter: each hunter additionally selects two animals from the following list: Lord Derby Eland, Western Greater Kudu, Bongo, Giant Forest Hog or Sitatunga.
- 27 day safari quota per hunter: each hunter additionally selects three animals from the following list: Lord Derby Eland, Western Greater Kudu, Bongo, Giant Forest Hog or Sitatunga.
- 34 day safari quota per hunter: the full list of the above animals becomes available.
- Korrigum and Roan Antelope: available on request.
