The first preparation of your trophies is included in our daily rate prices. With many years of experience refining their skills, our skinners
working under the guidance of your Professional Hunter, will ensure
that each of your hunting
trophies
is prepared to your specifications and treated with the exacting
care it deserves. Once we have completed the first preparation
of your hunting
trophies,
about a month after your hunting
safari has concluded
your
trophies will be personally delivered to our African
animal taxidermist,
who will disinfect according to your country's standards, pack and crate your hunting
trophies
and deliver them to the consignor / shipping agent.
Please note
that you may choose to have your African
taxidermy
work done in Namibia, partially or fully, or you can have it sent
to be done by your own taxidermist.
We recommend that you bring to Namibia your taxidermist's contact
information along with their trophy tags, which your taxidermist
should easily be able to give to you. Click here

taxidermy prices.

HUNTING
LICENSE & EXPORTATION PERMITS |
Once
your hunting
safari
has been confirmed, Ozondjahe Hunting
Safaris
will obtain your hunting license & hunting permits
on your behalf, which is part of our all inclusive pricing. For
us to apply for these documents, the Hunting License and Hunting
Permits Application (one form) must be filled out by you
and returned to us well before the commencement of your hunting
safari.
This application form may be submitted
to us online by clicking here
or printed from our web site by
clicking here
and once completed may be faxed to us.
Please indicate any and
all species that you may be interested in hunting, it in no way
obligates you to do so. Trying to obtain a permit for an animal
that has already been hunted that was not included on your original
hunting permit is more difficult after the fact.
For certain species,
a special trophy
hunting
permit must be obtained by the hunting
outfitter in Namibia
prior to the start of the hunt, such as Leopard
hunting or Cheetah
hunting.
We will also take care of obtaining your special export permits
that are required for Leopard and/or Cheetah.
Please note that the USA does not permit the importation
of a Cheetah
hunting trophy,
as well as some other countries.
An additional importation permit from the country of destination
may also be required (read following section). Namibian law dictates that each hunter may
take only two animals of each species. |
IMPORTATION
PERMITS |
All
importation permits from country of residence are the hunters’
responsibility to obtain; we are unable to apply for them on your
behalf. A CITES
(Convention
on International Trade in Endangered Species)
importation permit is required for Leopard
from the United States, as well as many other countries. Prior
to exportation of the Leopard
trophy from Namibia, the hunter
is responsible for obtaining and providing us with the CITES
permit from his country of residence, for more information visit
their web site at http://www.cites.org.
In the United States a CITES
permit may be obtained from the U.S.
Fish & Wildlife Service, you can find them
at http://www.fws.gov,
hunters from other countries should consult their customs office
to find out if they need an importation permit, and if so, where
they should apply.
Before a Baboon
trophy
can be imported into the United States, the Center
for Disease Control (http://www.cdc.gov)
requires an importation permit issued by the Division
of Global Migration and Quarantine, for more
information visit their web site at http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dq.
Although the United States prohibits the importation of a Cheetah
trophy, many other countries allow it, check
with your customs office to find out if Cheetah
is legal to import into your country, and whether a special importation
permit is required. |
